NEW BUS SERVICE

There is a new bus service from September 5th 2011. Some timetables are in bus shelters and on village notice boards.

The Wellibus Town & Villager Services are fully accessible Dial-a-Ride Bus Services operating across the Borough of Wellingborough.  These pre-bookable services are available to residents who experience difficulties using public bus services. This may be a result of age, disability or individuals suffering. Wellibus collects members from their doors and takes them to their destinations, picking them up later at the time they require.

Vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs and our specially trained drivers will help with the journey.  If passengers require an escort they can bring someone with them but have to let the staff know when booking. Alternatively we can provide an escort when requested.

There is an annual registration fee of £15.00 to become a member and enable individuals to use the Wellibus services.

Town Service

The service runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday within the town.  If you have a Concessionary Bus Pass you are entitled to free journeys throughout the Borough. There is a charge of £2.00 per single journey within the town if you dont have a Concessionary Bus Pass.

Bookings are taken two days in advance on a first come first served basis.

To book, ring 01933 223636 on a Monday for Wednesday travel and on a Wednesday for Friday travel.

Wellibus Villager

The service covers all the outlying villages in the Borough of Wellingborough and runs on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, depending on the pick-up zone.  There is a charge of £2.50 per single journey depending on the distance travelled.

Holders of Concessionary Bus Passes issued by the Borough Council of Wellingborough are entitled to travel free for journeys entirely within the Borough.
