The Villages Garden Club

The Villages Garden Club was formed in 2000 by interested and keen gardeners mainly from the villages of Overstone, Sywell and surrounding area.   It currently comprises about 40 members.

Our members all have an interest in gardening at some level, but do not all regard themselves as experts by any means. The membership does include people with a great deal of experience in gardening, in allotment holding, in floral art and in the domestic skills usually included in horticultural shows. However a large number of us are “garden potterers”.

The club is entirely run by volunteers. We meet every first Thursday in the month (except January) usually in Overstone Village Hall - although in the colder months we meet in Sywell Village Hall. Not only do we provide a series of expert speakers on gardening topics, but our evenings are also used to discuss gardening problems and pass on tips and information. It is also an opportunity to meet people with similar interests.

Why not come along and listen to the speakers, watch the slides, exchange ideas and join in the various social events and trips we hold throughout the year.
